Check-in for Aeroflot flights is free for all passengers both at the airport and in advance online.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in counters at the airport open 2 hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure for short-haul flights and open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hour before departure for long-haul flights.
Always carry a valid travel document. Boarding passes will be obtained from the airport staff, to whom you will also hand over any luggage for check-in.
Self-check-in kiosks
Aeroflot also offers self-check-in kiosks at Russian airports. This makes it easy to get ahead of the queue formed at conventional check-in.
If you have baggage to check in, it is worth using the kiosks only at Moscow Sheremetyevo SVO Airport, where Aeroflot also operates a check-in-only counter. In other cases, you'll still end up having to queue to check in with other passengers.
Online check-in
Online check-in can be done from the comfort of your home or hotel 24 hours before departure, but no later than 45 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart (1 hour before departure for long-haul flights).
