Reviews British Airways Galleries Lounge T3 London Heathrow
British Airways Galleries is one of 4 oneworld lounges in Terminal 3 at London Heathrow Airport. We visited it as part of our lounge tour during November 2025.
Lounge opening times and location
The lounge can be found a 1-minute walk from the security checkpoint next to the American Airlines Admirals Club Lounge.
It takes up to 20 minutes to walk to the farthest departure gate from the lounge, so plan your departure well.
- πOpen daily 5:00-22:00
- π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ The busiest times are 6:00-9:00 and 16:00-18:00, but generally the lounge is quite full all day
The lounge is entered through a narrow and not very cosy corridor.

Seating and atmosphere
The lounge is quite spacious, but as British Airways has many flights from Terminal 3 throughout the day, most seats are often taken.
Overall, I'm not impressed with the space - I certainly wouldn't choose this lounge to spend a lot of time in.
Seating is in the form of comfortable chairs of various shapes.
You'll also find classic dining tables or bar stools at the food counters, but there aren't many of them and you'll often have to sit in the chairs with your food, which isn't very practical.
There are also places in the middle of the lounge for working on your laptop, but they don't feel very comfortable, and certainly not cosy or quiet.
In general, I find the British Airways Galleries Lounge in Terminal 3 lacking any kind of quiet zones and nooks.
The lounge is quite busy and therefore not conducive to work or quiet relaxation.
The benefit is a pretty nice view of the airport tarmac.
Food and drink
Refreshments are the main benefit of airport lounges for me and Galleries T3 disappointed me in this regard.
The hot food has a breakfast menu (until about 11:30am) and a lunch menu (until lounge closing time). Soup is available throughout the day.
We were only in the lounge at lunch time, so I won't judge the breakfast menu.
There is a choice of 3 main dishes (beef stew, fried chicken or fish and beans) + 3 side dishes (rice, pasta, potato)
The cold food menu includes a few vegetables, a salad with a choice of different dressings and a very limited and weak selection of pastries (practically only sweet).
Sweet food is represented only by a stand where the staff will prepare good waffles or pancakes with fruit.
However, there is a complete lack of counters with other sweets or even cheese or ham.
Non-alcoholic beverages are handled by fridges with cans and two kinds of juices.
The choice of alcohol is relatively rich, especially in the field of wines and champagne.
However, there is also a decent selection of hard liquor, spirits and liqueurs.
You won't find draft beer in the lounge, only 3 types of beer in a bottle.
The coffee is only from the coffee machine and personally, I've probably never had worse coffee in my life.
On a positive note, there is a sign with the calorie content of all the food on offer.
Showers, children's corner and other facilities
The British Airways Galleries at T3 does not impress with the wide range of amenities.
Compared to the other lounges in Terminal 3, it has the best children's area. But even that is relatively small and will only keep kids entertained for a few dozen minutes at most.
The showers are not a direct part of the lounge - you have to go outside and walk by the front desk to the right into the First Class lounge.
Especially in the morning, waiting lists can be over 30 minutes long at the showers.
Conclusion and my rating
British Airways Galleries in Terminal 3 tends to be the most crowded of all the oneWorld lounges. The food and service offerings are not overwhelming and I would recommend a visit to the Cathay Pacific Lounge or Qantas Lounge.
Positives
- Comfortable seating
- Largest children's play area of any lounge in Terminal 3
Negatives
- Small selection of hot food, no fruit and minimal pastries
- Uncomfortable environment
- Often very busy environment
