When to be at HND Airport?
Haneda Airport is one of the most efficient large airports in the world, but we recommend arriving with plenty of time to spare.
- International flight: at least 2-3 hours before departure
- Domestic flight: 75-90 minutes before departure
For domestic flights, the process is usually very quick - you can get from the airport entrance to the departure gate in as little as 30 minutes.
Is Haneda Airport open at night?
Yes. The airport operates virtually 24 hours a day.
However, due to noise restrictions, night departures are limited, so most flights take place between 5:00 and midnight.
Night arrivals are common, especially from Europe and Southeast Asia.
If you arrive very late or depart early in the morning, it may be convenient to stay overnight near the airport.
