Taxi

There are a huge number of official taxis at Sanya Airport, but you can still spend more than 45 minutes in the taxi queue, especially during the evening arrivals.

Taxis can be paid via apps like Alipay or WeChat, or in cash.

It's always a good idea to have the address in Chinese ready on your mobile phone to show the kiosk when ordering a taxi and possibly the driver.

The price is always calculated according to the taximeter and you will pay about 50 cny depending on the specific destination and the time of day/night.

Taxi via mobile app

Popular Chinese mobile apps such as DiDi or My China Taxi operate in Sanya.

The price to downtown Sanya can be significantly lower than regular taxis via these apps (starting from 35 cny).
