San Antonio, the second largest city in Texas, is served by a medium-sized airport located 13 miles north of Downtown.

San Antonio Airport is not a major American hub, but it is nevertheless a relatively important entry point into Texas, handling over 11 million passengers annually.

American Airlines, Delta and United offer very frequent connections to all major US airports. Southwest Airlines has the largest share of flights in San Antonio with direct flights to about 20 destinations in the US and Mexico.

Direct international flights to San Antonio are mainly to many Mexican destinations. The only summer seasonal long-haul service is to Frankfurt, Germany(Condor).
