Services at Marrakech Airport
Find out what services and facilities are available at Marrakech Airport. Where is the best place to eat and where to shop?
Internet and wi-fi
You can connect to the internet via the Wifi-Aéroport-Marrakech wi-fi network by entering your email.
Don't bother buying a physical sim card upon arrival. Get a Moroccan data e-sim quickly and easily on the web airalo.com.
ATMs and currency exchange offices
ATMs of Moroccan banks can be found in the public area of terminal 1/2 near the exit.
The exchange offices are located only at the baggage claim still in the transit area, the exchange rate is slightly worse than in the city centre, but acceptable nonetheless.
Shops and supermarket
You won't find a regular grocery supermarket or at least a mini-market or newsagent at the airport. You can't even buy water in the public area upon arrival.
All shops are only in the departure area after security check, where you will find a few shops duty free, Moroccan souvenir shops or Hudson newsagents.
Dining
In the public area of the departure hall you will find only one small snack shop with baguettes and coffee
All other restaurants are located after security and prices are significantly higher than in town.
The only snack bar open 24/7 is Starbucks. You will also find several restaurants with local cuisine in the transit zone, as well as Illy or Segafredo cafes.
Luggage storage
Marrakech Airport does not have luggage storage or automatic lockers.

There is no drinking fountain in the terminal behind security. However, it is apparently possible to carry a bottle of water through security if it is intact and unopened. I don't know how official this is, but I've read on some forums that people get away with it; and passengers after me have been allowed to do so. They didn't let me pass my open half-empty bottle, but they allowed me to finish it.
Confirmed, the unopened pint of water went through smoothly.
There's not much in the public area of the departure terminal, apart from a newsagent, café and pharmacy.
On the other hand, the airside is full of shops selling all sorts of things.
I didn't notice the need to enter an email to connect to wifi.
