Services at Koh Samui Airport
Koh Samui Airport is prepared for all travellers' needs and you will find all the services you are used to from larger international airports.
Wi-fi and internet
Free wi-fi and internet access is available throughout the airport.
Don't wait to buy a physical sim card upon arrival. Get a Thai data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.
Currency exchange
The only currency exchange office can be found in the check-in hall by the check-in desks. However, the exchange rates are very unfavourable, so we recommend exchanging a small amount of money and the rest in the centre of the island, for example at the Central Samui shopping mall.
Alternatively, use the ATMs.
ATMs
ATMs can be found at both departures and arrivals. In the arrivals hall, they are hidden behind a pillar a few steps behind the taxi counter.
The fee for withdrawing money from Thai ATMs is flat at 250 thb, but for larger amounts of money over 5,000 baht, withdrawing is significantly more convenient than changing money at a currency exchange office.
Our Revolut card, which I normally use when travelling, worked at all ATMs.
Luggage storage
Luggage storage can be found in the arrivals hall. It is self-service and prices are based on the size of the lockers.
You can pay for a full day's storage from 240 thb to 480 thb and payment is only possible by credit card.
Massages
Before departure, you can enjoy a relaxing Thai massage in the salon in the departure lounge. There are also short treatments for 15 minutes at 150 thb. An hour massage will cost 350 thb and a half hour massage will cost 200 thb.
Head, back and shoulder massage or foot massage is available.
A corner with free refreshments
Bangkok Airways' complimentary and self-service snack corner is located in the middle of the terminal near Departure Gate 2.
Bottles of water, draught juices or sodas are available. You can grab popcorn or cookies or smaller baguettes.
Scoot also offers a similar free snack stand in the International Terminal.
Restaurants and cafés
Standard cafés and restaurants where you can buy food are mainly located in the outdoor street between the departure and arrival terminals.
Smaller bistros can also be found in the international section of the terminal after security.
Shops and duty-free
After security check in the international terminal you will find a small duty free shop.
Other souvenir shops are available in abundance in the public area - on the pedestrian street connecting the departure and arrival terminals.
Drinking water
Free drinking water is available in transit areas after security check.
Smoking room
There is always 1 smoking area in both the international and domestic terminals after security.
