On-arrival visas
In the arrivals hall, you'll find counters where you can buy your Tanzanian visa on arrival.
The price is 50 usd, you can also pay in Euros (the amount is the same, so 50 eur) or in Tanzanian shillings (approx. 125 000 tzs).
If you will be paying for your visa on arrival, have cash in US dollars ready from home. There is no ATM or currency exchange before immigration control! Although you can officially pay by credit card, this option is often unavailable.
Visas for Tanzania can also be processed online. In this case, join the shorter queue marked "Have Visa" upon arrival.
Internet and wi-fi
You can connect to the internet via a free wi-fi network. No registration is required. The internet works for 3 hours, however you can reconnect after this time.
Free wi-fi is available at all 3 terminals.

ATMs and currency exchange
In the arrivals hall you will find several branches of currency exchange offices and banks with relatively good exchange rates.
Withdrawing from Tanzanian bank ATMs is also no problem, and there are plenty of them throughout the airport in all terminals.
The ATM withdrawal fee for foreign cards is around 15 000 tzs.
Shops and supermarket
In Terminal 3 you will find one duty free shop as well as shops selling jewellery, toys or souvenirs. Most of the shops are located after security check and many are open 24/7.
In the public area there is only one small souvenir stand and a mini-market mostly with sweets and drinks.
Terminal 2 has sim card shops and a small minimarket in the public area.
After security there is another mini-market with sweets and drinks, but there is no other shop.
The airport pharmacy is not available in any of the terminals.
Dining options
Terminals 2 and 3 have a BAO café in the public area where you can purchase hot meals. The prices for a large meal and drinks are around 20 000 tzs.
After security checkpoint in Terminal 3 you will find fast-food outlets KFC and Pizza Hut (open 24/7) and three local restaurants.
In Terminal 2 after security there is one restaurant and one small snack shop.
Terminal 1 has only a small bistro after security check.
A pleasant bistro with outdoor seating and partial views of the airport apron can be found on the sidewalk between Terminals 2 and 3.
Baggage storage
There is no baggage storage in either terminal. There are also no automatic lockers.
Baggage wrapping
A baggage wrapping service is available in the departures hall at the check-in desks of Terminals 2 and 3.
The price for 1 bag is around 10 usd.
Smoking rooms
A smoking room is available in both Terminal 3 after security check in.
