Cheap hotels near Burgas Airport
Internet and wi-fi
Wi-fi is available unlimited and free of charge.
If you use an EU country sim card, you can make calls and use data in Bulgaria at the same prices as in your home country.
Otherwise, get a data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.
Dining options
Restaurants are mainly after the security check.
In addition to several local snack bars, you can visit a small branch of McDonald's. Opening hours are always adjusted to the current flight schedule and all restaurants remain open until the last flight departs.
In addition to the McDonald's branch, expect prices up to three times higher than off-airport locations. Also, beware that they often list the price in euros first in large print and the price in Bulgarian leva second in small print.
In the public area, use the Ginger Café restaurant in the arrivals hall. Here, too, prices are significantly higher than outside the airport.
Shops and supermarket
In the public part of the airport you will find two smaller shops, Relay and Ginger Drinks and Accessories, selling drinks, snacks and travel equipment.
After security, the Hudson mini-market offers sweets, drinks or sandwiches and lower prices than the bistros.
Immediately after passing through security, you can also purchase overpriced items at the duty free shop.
About 400 metres from the terminal, behind the roundabout in Sarafovo, you will also find a regular Billa supermarket. It is open 7:30-23:00.
ATMs and exchange offices
The exchange office of 4X Change offers rather unfavourable exchange rates, as do their ATMs located at the baggage claim and at the exit.
Exchange offices in the resorts have significantly better rates.
You will also find an ATM at the airport of a regular Bulgarian bank, which has a standard rate for withdrawals. It is located right next to the entrance to the security checkpoint.
Smoking rooms
Smoking area on the outdoor open terrace is also available in the transit area after security check.
Luggage storage
Burgas Airport does not have a luggage room and there are no automatic lockers.
Aviation Museum
In the area in front of the terminal you can visit a small outdoor aviation museum, which also functions as a public park with benches.
You have to pay to enter 6 bgn and the museum's official website is in Bulgarian only: avioburgas.bg.

If you like ugly and overpriced "food", I can highly recommend the local McDonald's. The same in the identical airport in Varna.
The lounge is pretty ridiculous too.
I couldn't find the entrance to the terrace, although there is an arrow on the door to the McDonald's and the smoking room.
The photo of McD's is out of date. It's now on the left behind that screen, which hides one of the worst "lounges" on the planet.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more expensive Mecca on this planet either.
The cheapest hamburger costs 9 BGN.
