Taxis, and in particular booking a ride via the Uber mobile app, are the best option for tourists, especially if you’re travelling in a group.

Official taxis have a rank in the arrivals hall, where you can check the fare and receive a receipt.

Uber also works well in Buenos Aires and is the ideal choice if you don’t have Argentine pesos in cash but want to pay by card.

Uber and taxi fares are similar, and a journey to the centre of Buenos Aires will cost around 12 000 ars.

Buses operated by Tienda León and NEO (Grupo Metropol) provide the fastest and most straightforward form of public transport to the centre of Buenos Aires.

Public transport buses (Colectivos)

Many regular city bus routes run along the main road, approximately 50 metres from the terminal, and these offer the cheapest way to travel from the airport to the city centre.

You no longer need a SUBE card to travel by bus or metro in Buenos Aires. You can pay with your standard contactless card on the metro and on most buses.

If, by chance, a bus does not accept card payments, it is usually simply a matter of waiting for the next service.
