Internet and wi-fi

Wi-fi works smoothly in the public area, but less well in the transit area. It is unlimited and free.

Don't bother buying a physical sim card on arrival. Get a Kyrgyz data e-sim quickly and easily on the web airalo.com.

There are also several SIM card shops in the arrivals hall, but it's more convenient to buy them in the city centre at the branches of the various mobile operators.

Shops and supermarket

You won't find a regular grocery supermarket at the airport.

There is a small one duty free shop after security, mostly with alcohol, cigarettes and perfume, but with very high prices.

You can also use the pharmacy in the public area of the terminal, open 24/7.

Outside the terminal there are always a few local vendors selling tea or kumys.

Dining options

On the first floor of the public area there is a cafeteria and cafe with a very limited choice and questionable food quality.

After the security check you will find several cafes, patisseries and a restaurant. Prices here are several times higher compared to the rest of Kyrgyzstan.

ATMs and exchange offices

The terminal is equipped with about 10 ATMs of the regular Kyrgyz banks, where you can easily withdraw foreign cards (get Revolut here).

ATM withdrawals are free of charge, but some ATMs may have a withdrawal limit (often 2,000 or 3,000 soms).

There are a few currency exchange offices in the arrivals hall of the international terminal with relatively good rates, but the better rates are always in the city centre.

Luggage storage

Luggage storage is not available at Bishkek Airport.
