Internet and Wi-Fi

Luggage storage
There is no luggage storage facility at the airport. You can use the automatic luggage lockers at the main railway station in the centre of Basel, for example.
The fee for all-day storage is 12 chf.
Shops and supermarkets
You can buy food to take away at two mini-markets:
- Monop'daily– transit area, 4.15 am–9.00 pm
- Bert’s– transit area, 4.15 am–9.00 pm
You can buy drinks, sweets and other snacks at several other Relay or Hudson News kiosks.
You’ll find other shops mainly beyond the security check, and these usually only sell ‘ duty free ’ goods. Generally speaking, Basel Airport isn’t particularly well-equipped with shopping facilities.
Dining options
You won’t find many options for affordable food at the airport. The restaurants are unnecessarily overpriced, and there aren’t even that many in the area beyond security. It’s best to grab a bite to eat before heading to the airport.

- Weckmann: fast food – public area, Hall 4, 4:00–19:00
- Starbucks: café – transit area, 4.30 am–9.00 pm

Skyview Lounge
The architecturally acclaimed airport lounge,Skyview Lounge, makes waiting before your flight a more pleasant experience.
Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in a spacious atrium with plenty of comfortable seating, work desks, light refreshments (included in the entry fee) and a beautiful outdoor terrace.
Entry to the lounge is free for holders ofPriority Passs, Lounge Pass cards. Other passengers will be charged 35 chf for entry.
The lounge is open daily from 6.00 am to 9.00 pm, and access can be booked online via the official website:executivelounges.com/skyview-lounge.
Showers
Public showers are available only as part of the Skyview Lounge .
Entry to the lounge costs 35 chf, and use of the showers costs a further 10 chf.
ATMs and currency exchange
The currency exchange counters in the arrivals hall offer very unfavourable exchange rates.
We recommend withdrawing cash from the “Crédit Mutuel” cash machines located throughout the airport instead. These cash machines allow you to withdraw both euros and Swiss francs.
Drinking water
Drinking fountains with free drinking water are available at several points beyond the security check.

At the gates of 80neco there is a water and soda machine, lots of snack and drink and coffee machines, microwaves, and even an arcade machine and pinball machine. What there is little of, on the other hand, is seating.

There are quite a few snack machines at the airport.
The lounge is three stories high. Refreshments - 1st floor drinks, bagels and stuff like that, 2nd floor they also have taps, salads, sweet, hot food (= pasta and 2 different sauces, soup, small squares of pizza and maybe an occasional other item). 3rd floor is kind of a small observation deck and can be closed.
