Play in-flight services
On 29 September 2025, Icelandic airline PLAY ceased operations due to financial difficulties.
PLAY is a low-cost airline and all services on board are therefore chargeable.
In-flight refreshments
Passengers will not receive any free in-flight refreshments, even on the longest flights.
You can select and pay for refreshments in advance when you buy your ticket. Chilled drinks cost around 3 to 4 eur, you can buy a sandwich for 9 eur, and beer or wine for 8 eur. Full hot meals are not sold.
You can choose your snacks from the catalogue on the airline's website.
Food can also be ordered in-flight, but payment can only be made by card.
Wifi on board
PLAY does not offer in-flight internet access.
Entertainment system
PLAY aircraft are not equipped with individual in-seat screens.
The longest flights are over 6 hours long, so we recommend downloading sufficient movies, TV series or music to your mobile phone, tablet or laptop before departure.
Seat plugs
Charge your electronics during the flight. USB-A plugs are available on all aircraft for charging small electronics.
