When do airport check-in counters open and when can I check-in online?
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport check-in counter is free of charge.
You can check in at Istanbul Airport at any time of the day for your departure on a given calendar day.
At other airports, counters open 2-3 hours before your journey.
The check-in counter always closes 60 minutes before the departure of an international flight and 45 minutes before the departure of a domestic flight.
Online check-in
You can check in yourself online via your mobile phone or computer at flypgs.com/en or via the Pegasus mobile app.
Check-in is available 7 days to 1 hour before departure.
You can keep your boarding passes on your phone and show your QR code from your mobile phone screen at the airport.
If you're travelling with hand luggage only and you check in online, you can go straight through security at the airport without having to visit the airport counter.
Choosing a seat
There is a charge for selecting a specific seat on the cheapest LIGHT and SAVER fares.
You will pay for a specific window seat from 10 eur.
You can skip the seat selection and you will be assigned a random seat for free. If you are travelling with more than one person, the system will usually seat you next to each other.

how and when can i upgrade my flight?
I am flying with this company for the first time and I was surprised that when checking in , which is possible 7 days before departure, each flight is checked in separately, even if it is a transfer within one booking . I always check in as early as possible ( I believe in seat assignment next to each other ) and in this way I will check in 4 times..... ? ( 2 times there and 2 times back ) Is this the usual procedure ?
I will be taking a flight from Istanbul SAW Airport to Alicante (Spain) in November 2026. I can't get my boarding pass online until 7 days before the flight, I am told. Is this true? Also, what time do I have to be at the airport if I have to check in my luggage. What time do I have to leave from the old part of Istanbul to arrive and check in if I have any problems? Thank you.

And my experience with SAW airport has been quite negative in terms of overcrowding. Personally, I would be there at least 2,5 hours before departure.
I.e. leave old Istanbul 4-4,5 hours before departure.
