There are three ways to check in with British Airways, all free of charge.

Check-in at the airport

Check-in counters at the airport usually open 2 hours and close 40 minutes before departure; times may vary for long-haul destinations. Check-in is free of charge.

Online check-in

Online check-in can be done at Finnair from 36 hours before departure. For flights to the USA, online check-in is available 24 hours before departure.

For departures from Dubrovnik, Split, Salzburg and Rimini airports, online check-in is not available.

You can either print your boarding pass or enter your phone number when you buy your ticket and Finnair will automatically send your boarding pass to your mobile phone. At the airport, you just need to scan the barcode.

Selecting your seat (seating)

When you buy your ticket or check in online, you can select your favourite specific seat on the aircraft. Depending on the route, the price per seat is between 15 eur and 30 eur.

If you do not want to pay for this selection, click on the "Skip selection" box and the system will assign you random seats for free. If you are travelling in a group or with children, you will always be seated next to each other.

Free seat selection is available in Economy Flex and Business Class.
