Check-in counters at the airport usually open 2 hours and close 40 minutes before departure, but times may vary for long-haul destinations. Check-in is free of charge.
Online check-in can be done at Finnair from 36 hours before departure. You can either print your boarding pass or enter your phone number when you buy your ticket and Finnair will automatically send your boarding pass to your mobile phone. Just scan the barcode at the airport.
Selecting your seat (seating)
When you buy your ticket or check in online, you can select your favourite specific seat on the aircraft. Depending on the route, you can pay for your seat between 15 eur and 30 eur.
If you do not want to pay for this selection, click on the "Skip selection" box and the system will assign you random seats for free. If you are travelling in a group or with children, you will always be seated next to each other.
Free seat selection is available in Economy Flex and Business Class.
