With airBaltic, all passengers are entitled to free carriage of a minimum of two pieces of hand luggage with an aggregate limit of 8 kg. If you require more luggage or a higher limit, you must purchase additional services.

Hand luggage

You can always take 2hand luggage with you on the plane for free . Together they can weigh 8 kg and are divided into a larger and a smaller hand luggage. The large bag can have a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 23 cm and the smaller bag can be 40 x 30 x 10 cm.

It is also possible to pay for a higher weight limit of up to 12 kg for hand luggage.

If you do not meet one of the above limits, you will be charged 75 eur when you board the aircraft for additional check-in of oversized hand luggage.

Checked baggage

Your ticket may or may not include checked baggage. It depends on which fare you purchased your ticket on:

• Green - does not include baggage
• Green plus / Classic - 1 free piece of luggage
• Business / Business Light - 2 pieces of free luggage

However, on the cheapest Green fare, you can buy checked baggage without any problems. The price is 20 eur when purchased with your ticket, 25 eur in your booking management and 75 eur at the airport. The maximum dimensions allowed are 100 x 80 x 50 cm and 23 kg.

AirBaltic also allows luggage heavier than 23 kg, but never heavier than 32 kg. There is a fee of 60 eur, which is charged per bag regardless of how many kilograms you exceed the weight allowance.

Oversized baggage over the permitted limit of 100 x 80 x 50 cm is carried at a charge of 75 eur. If the baggage is oversized and heavier than 23 kg, a charge of 135 eur applies.

Strollers for children

If you are flying with small children, you are entitled to a free stroller, car seat or travel cot. You must check in the pushchair at the check-in desk and hand it over when you board the aircraft.

Children under 2 years of age are entitled to free transport of checked baggage up to 10 kg. If you have checked baggage as an adult, you can add the weights together and check one suitcase weighing up to 32 kg.

Pets on board

AirBaltic allows you to travel with your pet. You can bring your cat, dog or other smaller animal on board in a sealed crate that fits the dimensions of hand luggage.

The limit is 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 12 kg for the pet and crate together. A fee of 70 eur per flight is payable.
