Business Executive Lounge at Poznan Airport

Despite the fact that Poznan Airport belongs to the regional airports with smaller area, there is also a full-fledged airport lounge Business Executive Lounge. We visited it on our way back from a weekend stay in Poznan and here is our review.
Opening hours and location of the lounge
The lounge at Poznan Airport offers very generous opening hours, which is a rarity at similar airports.
It is open from 4:00 to 22:00.
At much larger airports, you won't get to the lounge before 5 or 6am... In addition, lounge access is restricted to no earlier than 3 hours before scheduled departure. Since the airport is not a transfer airport, you probably won't get to the terminal that early anyway.
The lounge entrance is immediately after security and the duty-free shop on the right hand side, just before customs for outbound departures.
It takes less than 3 minutes of slow walking from the lounge to the furthest Gate 1.
Entrance to the lounge - how much does it cost
The Business Executive Lounge is open to all passengers.
Free access is available to passengers in business class or with higher frequent flyer status on Star Alliance and SkyTeam airlines using LOT or Lufthansa and KLM departures, respectively.
Access is also available to Dragon Pass, Priority Pass and Lounge Key cardholders, which can be used, for example, as part of a baggage account.
If you are not a holder of any of the above cards, you have the option to pay for your lounge access at the reception upon entry.
The price per adult is 109 pln and children under the age of 7 are free.
Seating and atmosphere
The lounge is set in a long narrow space with one side wall of glass. So it's not particularly luxurious or cosy, but it serves its purpose - you don't hear the noise from the terminal and you have somewhere to sit.
Seating is mostly in the form of 4 seats with a table, in small chairs or comfortable armchairs.
At the back of the lounge, there is a designed relaxation area in a dark area with TVs and couches.
For work you will use the work desk. Electrical outlets are easily accessible and located on the wall.
Overall, the lounge can seat about 50 people, making it one of the smaller ones, but it is fully adequate for the local airport traffic.
Snacks and drinks
If you go into the lounge thinking you're going to have a full meal, you'll be as disappointed as we were. There is a self-service bar with sandwiches and drinks.
The only hot food available is soup. This was cauliflower in our case and was delicious.
You can satisfy your hunger with cold sandwiches accompanied by bits of vegetables, ham, salami and sliced cheese. There were pickles and olives in the fridge.
Drinks are handled by glass bottles, which I personally always find most convenient. There is a large fridge with a selection of classic sodas like Coke, Fanta, Sprite and assorted juices.
Alcoholic beverages are also available.
The coffee from the coffee machine doesn't impress, but the choice of classic and oat milk was a surprise.
Due to the fact that our flight was gradually running several hours late, we had to settle for the airport restaurant as the main meal of the day for the kids. We then brought this to the lounge and the kids were able to eat in peace.
Lounge facilities
Apart from the toilets and private wi-fi network, the lounge doesn't impress with anything. The internet connection was not working at the time of our visit, even on the public network of the entire airport, so one had to rely on one's own hotspot from the phone.
Showers are not available and neither is a children's play area.
Power outlets are available in the floor or on the walls at all seating areas, so the worry of finding a free outlet to recharge your phone or computer is eliminated.
In conclusion - a lounge that surprises
We were pleased beyond expectations with the lounge Business Executive Lounge. Despite the small space and relatively high occupancy, it was quiet and the refreshments were regularly replenished.
However, there is certainly no point in leaving the city centre early just to visit the lounge, but if you have free entry or your flight is delayed then it is worth considering buying entry as well. As did several other passengers waiting for the same departure at the time of our stay.
