Where to stay in Ronda
Ronda is a popular destination for day trippers from Málaga. However, staying here for one night will allow you to see the Puente Nuevo in the evening and early in the morning, when it is much quieter around the bridge.
And, in my opinion, Puente Nuevo at night has an absolutely unique atmosphere.
Ronda isn’t a big town, and you can walk to most of the places of interest. When choosing accommodation, therefore, three things are key: do you want a room with a view of the bridge, the most convenient location in the centre, or easy access and parking?

The best hotels in Ronda: a quick selection
If you don’t want to compare dozens of similar offers, I’d start with these hotels:
- Best hotel overall: Catalonia Ronda – excellent location opposite the bullring, a rooftop pool and just a few minutes’ walk from the bridge.
- The most memorable experience: Parador de Ronda – situated right next to the Puente Nuevo, with some rooms offering views of the bridge or the gorge.
- Views of the bridge at a lower price: Hotel Don Miguel – you’re mainly paying for the location, not for luxury.
- Old town atmosphere: Hotel Montelirio – a historic house by the gorge, a small swimming pool and beautiful views.
- A practical hotel if you’re travelling by car: Hotel Maestranza – right in the centre and with its own car park.
- Cheap accommodation near the station: Hotel AndalucÃa – a simple hotel opposite the train station.
If I were choosing without any other conditions, I’d go for the Catalonia Ronda. If the main reason for the trip were the view of the Puente Nuevo, I’d compare the prices of the Parador and the Hotel Don Miguel.
Hotels with a view of the Puente Nuevo
A view of the bridge is the most memorable experience you can get from your accommodation in Ronda. At the same time, it’s easy to make a mistake: a photo of the bridge in the hotel’s gallery doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll see it from your room.
Parador de Ronda
The Parador de Ronda is situated in the former town hall, right next to the bridge. It has a seasonal swimming pool, private parking, and some rooms face the gorge or the Puente Nuevo.
Only book a room category where the view is explicitly mentioned in the name. The cheapest room may face in a completely different direction.
Hotel Don Miguel
Hotel Don Miguel is more basic, but its location right by the bridge is hard to beat. Look for a room labelled ‘Double or Twin Room with a view of the Puente Nuevo’.
I’d choose this if I wanted a view of the bridge but found the Parador’s price too high. For rooms without a specified view, I wouldn’t count on having the bridge outside the window.
Casa Palacio VillaZambra
The small Casa Palacio VillaZambra is situated in the old town, just beyond the bridge. The Presidential Suite – Bridge View offers the best direct view. Standard double rooms may face towards the town.
Also, watch out for similarly named options: Catalonia Ronda has views of the bullring and the surrounding countryside, not directly of the Puente Nuevo. Catalonia Reina Victoria, on the other hand, mainly offers views of the gorge.
Where to stay in Ronda
The city centre and the area around the bullring
For a first visit, the newer city centre north of the Puente Nuevo is the most convenient. You’ll be close to the bridge, the Plaza de Toros, the Alameda del Tajo, restaurants and the shopping street Carrera Espinel. It takes about 10–15 minutes to walk to the train and coach stations.
- Ronda Hotel Polo – of the more affordable hotels, this is the one I’d choose. It’s in the centre, near the Alameda del Tajo, and you can walk to the Puente Nuevo in a few minutes
- Apartamentos Rondacentro – central apartments with a kitchenette. A good choice for families or longer stays.
- Catalonia Ronda – in my opinion, the best hotel overall. It has modern rooms, a rooftop pool and is situated opposite the bullring.
The Old Town (La Ciudad)
South of the bridge lies historic Ronda, with its white houses, palaces and narrow streets. In the evening, it’s pleasantly peaceful and has the best atmosphere. Do bear in mind, however, the cobbled streets, hills and the fact that it’s trickier to get there by car.
- Hotel Montelirio – a historic house in the old town with views over the gorge. I’d choose it for the atmosphere, not for easy access by car.
- Casa Palacio VillaZambra– a popular boutique hotel on the edge of the cliff with beautiful views
I’d choose the old town for a romantic stay, not for the easiest logistics.
Near the train and bus stations
The area around the stations isn’t the prettiest part of Ronda, but it offers lower prices and an easy early-morning departure. You can walk to the Puente Nuevo in about 10–15 minutes.
- The Hotel AndalucÃa is situated directly opposite the train station and approximately 300 metres from the coach station. It’s particularly handy if you’re arriving late or catching the first morning service.
Accommodation outside Ronda
The area around the town only makes sense if you have a car. The rewards are peace and quiet, a larger garden, a swimming pool and easier parking.
- The Hotel Boutique Molino del Arco is set in a country house just outside the town and offers free parking. For a first short visit, however, I’d stay in the centre.
Accommodation with parking
I’d only drive into the historic streets if the hotel confirms in advance that it has its own garage. Otherwise, it’s easier to park and then walk around Ronda.
- Hotel Maestranza: private parking for 18 eur per night, subject to availability.
- Catalonia Reina Victoria: parking for 17 eur per night, with no option to reserve a space.
- Apartamentos Rondacentro: garage parking for approximately 20 eur per night.
- Hotel Montelirio: paid private parking must be arranged in advance.
- Molino del Arco: free parking, but you’ll need to drive into the centre.
Hotels in Ronda with a swimming pool
In my opinion, Catalonia Ronda has the best swimming pool – it’s on the roof and offers views of the bullring and the mountains. Catalonia Reina Victoria offers a quieter garden pool.
The Parador de Ronda, Hotel Montelirio and the rural Molino del Arco also have seasonal swimming pools. If you’re travelling outside the summer season, always check whether the pool will be open.
How much does accommodation cost in Ronda
For a double room, you can expect the following approximate prices:
- a basic hotel or guesthouse: 45–75 eur per night
- a good hotel in the centre: 80–140 eur s per night
- a higher-quality hotel or a room with a view: 130–230 eur per night
- the most sought-after dates and the best rooms: easily over 250 eur per night
Rooms with a view of the Puente Nuevo are the first to sell out. Waiting longer may therefore not result in a lower price, but simply a poorer choice. Booking well in advance also pays off for spring and autumn weekends, during Semana Santa and at the time of the Feria de Pedro Romero festivities.

How many nights to spend in Ronda
One night is enough to see the main sights. Arrive in the afternoon, head to the Alameda del Tajo or the Mirador de Ronda to watch the sunset, and save Puente Nuevo for a quieter morning.
I’d book two nights if you don’t want to rush, are planning a longer hike through the El Tajo Gorge, or want to continue from Ronda to the white villages and wineries. For a tour of the town itself, I wouldn’t need a longer stay.
