Tampere Pirkkala Airport in a nutshell

Finland's second largest city boasts its own international airport, located about 13 km southwest of the city centre in the village of Pirkkala.
The airport is one of the smallest, handling only around 200,000 passengers a year. The terminal is adequate in size for the traffic and the whole check-in and screening process takes no more than 10 minutes.
However, despite its diminutive size, the airport operates two separate buildings 50 metres apart on foot.
However, only Terminal 1 is currently in use.
Only airBaltic operates scheduled services to Tampere Airport, with direct flights to Málaga and especially Riga, where it connects to a wide network of flights throughout Europe.
Ryanair also used to fly to Tampere, but discontinued flights in 2023.
