Shops and supermarket

Sydney Airport is very well equipped with shops of all kinds. Travellers are most often looking for packaged food stores or perhaps pharmacies and drugstores.

Food

There are only small minimarkets in the terminals selling sandwiches, salads, drinks etc.

  • WHSmith - Terminal 1 at several locations in the transit area and in the arrivals public area

Pharmacies and drugstores

  • Amcal Pharmacy - Terminal 1 after security check and in the public area (departures)
  • Amcal Pharmacy - Terminal 2 after security check only
  • Ramsay Pharmacy - Terminal 3 after security check only

In addition, in all terminals you will find, for example, flower shops or mobile operator kiosks in the public area.

After security there is a very wide range of shopping options with duty free shops, as well as shops selling fashion, travel gear, jewellery and many other items.

For a list of all the shops, visit the airport website: sydneyairport.com.au/shop.

Dining options

Restaurants, fast-food outlets and cafes are plentiful in all terminals, both in the public and transit areas. However, there's a bit more choice after security.

There are more expensive restaurants, small cafés and well-known fast-food outlets such as McDonald's, KFC and Subway.

Most establishments open around 4:30 and close around 10:00.

A list of all restaurants can be found on the airport website: sydneyairport.com.au/eat.

ATMs and money changers

Regular exchange offices are run by Global Exchange or Travelex with very unfavourable rates.

For a better deal, withdraw money from the many ATMs of local banks located in all terminals or pay for all services or transport by card.

Drinking water

Drinking water fountains are located in all terminals after security checks and you can fill your own bottle free of charge.
