Skyros National Airport in a nutshell

Skyros

On the northernmost tip of the Greek islet of Skyros lies a very small regional airport.

Although the airport terminal is only as big as an ordinary family villa, it serves as the island’s main link to the outside world, and most tourists arrive on Skyros by plane.

There are currently no international flights to Skyros Airport, not even during the summer season. Only two scheduled routes to the Greek mainland are in operation:

  • Athens – book flights to aegeanair.com (including connecting flights onwards to other parts of Europe)
  • Thessaloniki – book flights to skyexpress.gr

You can walk across the terminal in less than a minute, and arriving 60 minutes before departure is more than enough.
