Skiathos Airport is located 2.5 km from Skiathos town centre, and if you only have a small backpack, you can easily walk to the harbour.
Rent a car or scooter
However, the most convenient option is to rent a car directly at the airport terminal, where all car rental companies have a counter. Travelling by car or scooter around Skiathos is practically the only option if you want to visit the more remote beaches or the interior of the island.
Weekly rental rates range from 250 eur in low season to 350 eur in high season.
At the rental company George Rent a Car right at the airport, you can also rent a scooter. Prices for the weakest 50cc bikes range between 12 eur and 18 eur per day for a 7-day rental.
Bus
A local bus service to nearby Skiathos also stops to the left of the airport hall. However, it only runs twice a day, with additional services added operationally in the summer.

Taxi
There are always taxis waiting at the arrivals hall in high season and they are obliged to use the meter. The price to Skiathos city centre will be between 7 eur and 10 eur.
