Internet and wi-fi

Free unlimited wi-fi is available throughout the airport.

If you use an EU sim card, you can make calls and use data in Ireland for the same prices as in your home country.

Otherwise, get an Irish data e-sim quickly and easily on the web airalo.com.

Shops and supermarket

The shops at Shannon Airport sell packaged food such as baguettes, salads, sweets and drinks under the WHSmith brand.

  • Public area - open 5:00 to 21:00
  • Transit area - open 5:00 to 21:00

Next, after passing through security, you'll use one big duty free shop and that's it from the list of shopping options.

Dining options

There are no well-known fast-food outlets at the airport, but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes.

  • JJ Ruddles (restaurant and bar) - public area, open 5:30-0:00
  • Harry's (bistro and snack bar) - transit area after US Clearance, open only during US flight times
  • Zest (cafeteria) - transit section, open 5:30am-6:00pm
  • The Sheridan (restaurant and bar) - transit section, open 4:00am-last departure

A list of all restaurants can be found on the airport website: shannonairport.ie/shop-dine.

Luggage storage

Luggage storage can be found at the counter marked Customer Service Desk, which is open daily from 06:00-23:00.

The storage fee (per 24 hours) ranges from 3 eur to 7 eur depending on the size of the luggage.

ATMs and exchange offices

There is an ICE exchange office in the arrivals terminal with very unfavourable exchange rates.

ATMs at the airport are also operated only by ICE and unless you have a card with a euro account, you can expect unfavourable exchange rates in addition to high fees.

However, in Ireland you can pay for most services with a card, at least airport transport, so you can safely leave your withdrawals to a regular Irish bank ATM in town.

Drinking water

There are free drinking fountains throughout the terminal, in both the public and transit areas, from which you can fill your own empty bottle.
