Samos Airport Terminal is served by KTEL Samos bus routes. If you want to explore the island, hire a car directly at the airport.

Car hire

Car hire is the best option if you want to explore the island of Samos and don’t like spending time in one place. This is because many beaches and smaller resorts cannot be reached by bus at all, or only once or twice a day.

During the summer season, expect prices from 380 eur; in the off-season, prices start from 250 eur. In the off-season, car hire prices on Samos can drop to less than half. Bus

There is a bus stop in front of the terminal for the local operator, KTEL Samos. Bus routes are not marked by a number, but only by the destination shown on a sign behind the windscreen.

The airport route runs from Samos to Pythagorio to the airport.

On weekdays, the bus runs 7 times a day; on Saturdays, 3 times a day; and there are no services on Sundays. Detailed timetables are only available on the operator’s Facebook page, ΚΤΕΛ Σάμου.

Taxis

Mobile apps such as Bolt or Uber do not operate on the island of Samos, but there are always plenty of taxis waiting outside the terminal, even in the off-season.

Fares are calculated by the meter, and instances of taxi drivers overcharging are very rare on Samos. Approximate taxi fares are as follows:
