Samos International Airport is situated on the south-eastern coast of the island, about 7 km from the town of the same name.
The small and somewhat outdated terminal operates all year round, primarily serving domestic flights to Athens (aegenair.com) and to the surrounding islands.
During the summer season, the terminal is overwhelmed by the influx of numerous tourist charter flights from across Europe.
The airport is situated in the southern part of the island, 17 km from the town of Samos and 33 km from the resort of Karlovasi.
