The legendary Princess Juliana Airport on the French-Dutch island of St. Martin attracts not only aviation enthusiasts but also the general public.

In fact, the notorious publicly accessible Maho Beach is literally a few metres from the runway. Here, crowds of people take photos with very low-landing aircraft or try to stay in the strong air current from the jet engines of the taking off planes.

SXM Airport is an important regional hub for flights to nearby islands such as St. Bartholomew, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Saba and St. Eustatius.

Direct flights to St. Martin are available from Paris and Amsterdam, from where large long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft fly, as well as to many airports in the USA and Canada.
