Spending the night in the terminal – opening hours

All public areas of the terminals are open24 hours a day. However, the transit areas beyond security checkpoints close at most terminals between approximately 1.30 and 4.30.

If you want to save money and spend the night in the terminal, this is possible. However, be prepared for possible checks where you will need to show your flight ticket.

Spending the night in the terminal at Paris CDG Airport is one of the least comfortable experiences in Europe. There are very few seats, and they all have armrests. All repairs, construction work and cleaning take place during the night, and you won’t find a single quiet spot anywhere in the airport.

Hotels right next to the terminal

Within the airport grounds, you’ll find several hotels ranging in price from 130 eur to 400 eurper night for a double room. Prices vary considerably depending on current occupancy.

The advantage of staying at the airport is that you save time in the morning. You can reach check-in within 15 minutes on foot or by the free CDG Val train, without having to arrange transfers to and from the airport.

Hotels near the airport

In the wider area, particularly in the towns of Roissy-en-France and Villepinte, you’ll find dozens of other hotels with prices starting from 40 eur, though most are around 90 eur.

The hotel shuttle buses, which used to be free, have been discontinued. Most hotels operate their own transport, though this incurs a charge of around 10 eur; alternatively, you can use taxis.
