Services at Marsa Matrouh Airport

Marsa Matruh, Egypt

The airport terminal is very small and therefore on-site services are limited to small shops and one café.

Visa on arrival

Due to the fact that flight check-in at Marsa Matruh MUH is exclusively through tour operator packages, there is no kiosk at the airport to purchase visas. While these are issued as standard upon arrival, payment is made to the delegate on the bus.

In this case, visas are issued on arrival with a surcharge, where you pay for the visa 27 usd instead of 25 usd.

Internet and wi-fi

There is no public wifi network at Marsa Matruh airport and therefore to connect to the internet you need to use a data sim card, preferably an eSIM, which you can easily install before you fly to Egypt.

Get a discount on an eSIM card to Egypt via Airalo.

It is possible to purchase a local SIM card upon arrival, but we recommend the eSIM mentioned above, which is cheaper.

Souvenir shops

In the waiting area before departure you will find a total of 3 small shops offering various trinkets, souvenirs, T-shirts and Egyptian-made perfumes. Don't expect quality and certainly not originality.

Prices are negotiable.

Café

Use the small café with a limited range of products to buy coffee, Egyptian tea, sweet drinks and juices and light snacks in the form of sweet bars and salty chips.

Card payments are an advantage, but cash in dollars or euros is preferred.

Drink prices range from 3 to 4 usd each, see photo for prices.

Smoking room

Egyptian airports are guaranteed to offer smoking areas. Here too, there is a smoking room in the waiting area.
