Marsa Matrouh in a nutshell

The main airport of Marsa Matrouh is located just a few kilometres from the town of the same name in the north of Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea.
The airport is used for charter flights during the summer season from May to October and as a military base for the 102nd Tactical Fighter Brigade of the Egyptian Air Force. While taxiing along the runway, you can admire the military MIGs inside the fortified hangars from the aircraft.
Direct flights to Marsa Matrouh are operated by Smartwings, Neos and Air Cairo from destinations such as Prague, Brno, Ostrava, České Budějovice, Katowice, Bratislava, Košice and the Italian cities of Verona, Milan and Rome.
