Where are the arrivals and departures?

Málaga Airport has a single integrated terminal for all flights. Although you’ll still see signs for T2 and T3 in the terminal building, you can walk between the different sections and won’t need to worry about any shuttle buses between terminals.

• Departures, check-in and security screening – Ground Floor

You’ll find your specific check-in desk on the departures board, based on your flight number. You should also keep checking your departure gate number, as this may change.

When should you arrive at Málaga Airport?

Málaga Airport is a relaxed affair in the off-season (October to April), but gets very busy during the summer.

• Domestic and Schengen flights – 2 hours before departure in peak season(1.5 hours is sufficient in the off-season)
• Flights outside the Schengen area – 3 hours before departure (2 hours is sufficient during the off-season)

If you have your boarding pass and are travelling with hand luggage only, you can head straight to security. For non-Schengen flights, you’ll then need to go through passport control.

Is Málaga Airport open at night?

Yes, Málaga Airport is open 24 hours a day, and night-time arrivals and very early morning departures are common.

However, most shops are closed at night and transport services are limited.

Trains on the C1 line run from around 5.00 am until midnight, so if you’re arriving late or departing early, you’ll probably need to take a taxi or find somewhere to stay near the airport.

Finding your way around the terminal

The terminal is easy to navigate and the distances aren’t excessive. All airlines use the same check-in building, so there’s no need to check in advance whether you’re departing from T2 or T3.

Are you travelling on from the airport?

The C1 train provides the quickest service to the centre of Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. Bus route A also runs to the city centre, whilst direct buses continue on to destinations such as Marbella and Estepona.
