How and where to buy tickets?
The easiest way is to pay with your own contactless card. Just put your card on the reader whenever you board the bus. The card is not attached to the reader when you get off the bus.
A £5 Saveaway fare can be loaded onto a MetroCard, which can be purchased for 1 gbp. However, multiple tickets can be loaded onto the card at the same time.
Alternatively, you can pay the fare in cash at the driver's desk, but in this case only a single journey ticket is available.

Any questions left?
If you have any questions or comments about the article...
There is a lot of confusion in the ticket descriptions and outdated prices. On the other hand, the Liverpudlians are confused too... 😆
Behind the first link there is a table with different types of tickets. For weekends, IMHO the best ticket is the Saveaway ticket for zone C, which costs 5 GBP, is valid for trains, buses and the ferry (but it doesn't run at the weekend) and can be loaded onto a MetroCard. I've read in various places that MetroCards cost 1 GBP, but we got them for free at the station, so I don't know. You can load more tickets onto the card at once, so for example you can buy 2 Saveaway tickets for today and tomorrow at the same time. Apparently you can also buy the card from the bus driver, but I haven't tried.
On the second link on Distribusion.com, I didn't find a day pass, but instead just individual tickets.
The bus company Arriva has its own price list, a single ticket in the Liverpool City Region Plus area (found under North West) costs £2, an individual day ticket £5.7, a day ticket for 2 people £10. https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/buy-...one/anw020
Not to be confused, Merseyrail has its own tickets too. https://www.merseyrail.org/ticke...ly-travel/ Some can also be bought online. https://www.merseyrail.org/ticke...e-tickets/
Apps: Merseyrail - https://play.google.com/store/ap...merseyrail
Arriva - https://play.google.com/store/ap...=web_share Surprisingly, you can also buy tickets on this app.
And the Merseytravel search engine - https://play.google.com/store/ap...=web_share
I'll try to edit :D
