Bus

Buses from the airport to Kuwait City centre are operated by local carrier citybuskw.com.

Fares vary by route and are payable in cash to the driver. You can also purchase a day ticket for 1 kwd valid for the entire Citybus network. This ticket is only valid on a given calendar day and not for 24 hours.

The following buses operate to the airport.

  • X1 - goes to the south-eastern suburbs to the beach area of Fnaitees and Mangaf

Taxi

No taxis are available to KWI Airport via mobile apps and therefore Careem, Uber or Bolt services cannot be used.

Official taxis to the city centre cost approximately 8 kwd and the price is fixed. You can find fares to all areas on the airport website: kuwaitairport.gov.kw/taxis.
