This airport serves Australia's King Island, a small island located between the mainland and Tasmania in the Bass Strait.

As King Island has no regular ferries, the local airport is the only link to the outside world.

The terminal is very small and can be walked through in about 15 seconds - it has only one common room for arrivals, departures and check-in.
