Kavala International Airport in a nutshell
A favourite airport for travellers heading for the sun and beaches of northern mainland Greece or the island of Thassos, it is situated 35 km from the town of Kavala and 11 km from the port of Keramoti, from where ferries sail to Thassos.
Traffic at Kavala Airport is at its peak from May to October, when both charter and seasonal flights arrive here from across Europe.
Year-round flights to Kavala are available only online aegeanair.com with a stopover in Athens.

The single terminal is very small, making it easy to find your way around and keeping walking distances short. During the summer season, be prepared for a shortage of seating.
