Kahului Airport has one main mid-sized terminal, which is divided into several concourses with check-in counters.

Orientation here is very easy and the check-in process will take no more than 1 hour.

The local airline Mokulele Airlines uses a small building called Commuter Terminal located about 150 meters north of the main terminal. In this building you will find only two check-in counters and no other services.

Transfer between flights

Kahului is not a typical transfer airport, this function for the Hawaiian Islands is mainly performed by Honolulu HNL on the island of Oahu.

Transfer from international flights and flights from the mainland U.S.

In this case, you must always exit the transit area or pick up your checked baggage and walk out to the public area.

You must then check in again and go through security to the departure gate.

Inter-island flights

If you are connecting inter-island flights on Maui, you will disembark directly into the departure gate area.

Your luggage will be automatically reloaded and will not go through security.
