Both the public and transit areas of the airport are open 24/7, and thanks to round-the-clock operations, spending the night inside the terminal is no problem.

There are plenty of seats without backrests throughout the terminal, though most are metal and cold.

• Protea Hotel by Marriott  **** – a budget hotel 5 minutes’ drive from the terminal; it’s not possible to walk there, but the hotel offers its own transfer service for a fee
