Getting from Iqaluit Airport

There is no regular form of public transportation in Iqaluit or anywhere in Nunavut.
You can get to the city centre by taxi or on foot, but there is no sidewalk along the road.
Taxi
There is a taxi stand in front of the terminal. Cars usually wait here for all scheduled arrivals, and even if no cars are available at the time, taxis are constantly shuttling between the city and the airport and you won't usually wait more than 15 minutes.
Mobile apps like Uber don't work in Iqaluit.
The taxi fare to downtown is 20 cad and you can usually pay with cash to credit card.
On foot
The road to downtown Iqaluit is only 2.5 km, so you can walk it in about 20 minutes.
However, walking is only comfortable in the summer when the roads are dry.
