Transport from Iasi Airport: My Tips
You can reach the centre of Iasi in about 20 minutes by taking city bus number 50, which runs 24/7 and costs 4 ron.
Taxis, Uber and Bolt are also available in Iasi.
Public transport: bus 50
The cheapest option is bus 50, which runs from the airport via Piața Independenței in the city centre to the main railway station.
The fare is 4 ron and you can pay for it easily by tapping your contactless card inside the bus.
The ticket is valid for 120 minutes on all other bus and tram routes in Iasi.

Taxi, Bolt or Uber?
At Iasi Airport, official taxis are available 24/7, as are the Uber and Bolt apps, which operate reliably here.
With regular taxis, it’s often not possible to pay by card, and their fare, as shown on the meter, tends to be higher, typically around 40 ron.
I recommend always comparing prices using the Bolt and Uber apps, which usually range from 28 ron to 35 ron, and waiting times are rarely longer than 10 minutes.
Car hire
There are several car hire companies operating in the Iasi airport terminal, which are probably the best option for exploring the Romanian countryside and natural landscapes.
Prices are very low, starting from as little as 10 eur per day.
