Hilo International Airport in a nutshell

The smaller of the airports on Hawaii's largest island (also known as the Big Island) is located on the east coast directly below the Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa mountains. Hilo Airport is one of the smallest airports in Hawaii, flying only to Honolulu, Kahului and Los Angeles, but with very frequent service.
The terminal is disproportionately large and spacious, built to accommodate roughly nine planes at a time, and rarely does three planes meet at once. However, orientation is very easy and it is impossible to get lost. Opening hours are 5:30-21:00.
