Internet and Wi-Fi
Wi-Fiis free and available without time restrictions throughout the airport. Connect to the “Airport Wi-Fi Hotspot” network.

Restaurants
There are restaurants and cafés both in the public area and beyond the security check. These tend to be smaller, local eateries, and, particularly in the summer months, waiting times for food can run into tens of minutes.
In the public area, you’ll find one café with a bakery. Beyond the security check, there are just two branches of the popular Greek fast-food chain Everest, offering a wide selection of sandwiches and coffee, and one typical Greek snack bar.
Shops and supermarkets
In the departure hall of the public area, you’ll find a small convenience store selling drinks and light refreshments, as well as a souvenir shop.
After the security check, there is a large duty-free shop selling cosmetics, perfumes, cigarettes, alcohol and sweets. There are no other shops at Heraklion Airport.
ATMs and currency exchange bureaux
You’ll find a currency exchange bureau offering an unfavourable exchange rate near the baggage reclaim area in the arrivals hall.
You’ll find ATMs operated by major banks outside, on the left, just beyond the exit from the arrivals hall.
The withdrawal fees are as follows:
- Alpha Bank – 2,50 eur
- National Bank (I-Bank) – 2,60 eur
- Piraeus Bank - 3 eur
Luggage storage
The luggage storage facility is located in a small building right next to the bus stop and is only open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The charge for a full day’s service is 5 eur.
