Transport from Dalaman Airport: My Tips
Dalaman Airport is served by regular buses from Marmaris or Fethiye. Taxis are also available.
Upon arrival with a tour operator
If you have purchased a tour to one of the resorts near Dalaman Airport, you have nothing to worry about. Just look for your tour operator's delegate upon arrival, who will direct you to the bus. The bus will then take you directly to your hotel.
Approximate journey times from the airport to the resorts are as follows:
- Fethiye - 45 km / 60 minutes
- Marmaris - 94 km / 110 minutes
- Sarigerme - 19 km / 25 minutes
Car rental
If you want to discover the beauty of the Aegean Riviera on your own, renting a car is definitely the best option. The terminal is home to many car rental companies, including well-known multinational brands.
Prices start at around 50 usd / day in the peak summer season.
Bus to Fethiye
Regular services to Fethiye are catered for by Muttaş.
Buses to Fethiye with a stop in Göcek resort depart at various times according to the schedule. When travelling from Fethiye, the times are fixed and can be viewed on the official website. On the way back from the airport, the bus always leaves 45 minutes after the arrival of the plane.
Pay your ticket before boarding at the driver or conductor. You can pay with cash or credit card.
The current price of a ticket to Fethiye is 300 try.
The journey time is approximately 60-75 minutes depending on the traffic.
Bus to Marmaris
You can also use the services of Muttaş to Marmaris .
Buses to Marmaris depart at different times according to the flight schedule. When travelling from Marmaris, the times are fixed and you can view them on the official website. On the way back from the airport, the bus always leaves 45 minutes after the arrival of the plane.

The journey time is approximately 100-120 minutes depending on traffic.
Buses to other destinations
Fethiye, Marmaris and Göcek are currently the only destinations accessible from the airport by public transport. There are no domlush (minibuses) from Dalaman bus station to the terminal, which can only be reached by taxi.
Taxi
Only one taxi company, Dalaman Airport Taxi, is officially allowed to operate at the airport. Vehicles are available at any time of the day or night, plus online reservations can be made. Prices are fixed and are quoted in euros due to the significant inflation of the Turkish lira and therefore the frequent changes in the lira amounts:
- Sarigerme - 20 eur
- Dalyan - 20 eur
- Dalaman - 20 eur
- Fethiye - 45 eur
- Akyaka - 50 eur
- Marmaris - 70 eur
On the way to the airport, where you can also use regular taxis, the prices are significantly lower and range from Dalaman from 4 eur, or from Sarigerme from 8 eur.

Public transport Dalaman
I'd like to ask about the price of a taxi. In the article it says 20 EUR, is that still the case? It's throwing me prices much higher now. Alternatively, if by any chance anyone went to Dalyan on 8/7 and would like to share the cost, I would be happy to.
We paid less than 20 euros for the trip from Dalyan to the airport. Booked through Booking, driver arrived on time, lovely six seater taxi.
I have a question about the buses. We will arrive from Blava at about 22:30 and we want to go to Marmaris. There are domestic flights from Istanbul at that time, but is the information that the buses leave 45 after they arrive still valid?
Greetings to all,
here's an update on the trip to Marmaris (Içmeler).
The bus stop is generally just as you exit the airport on your left after the crossing. As Christopher pointed out, the buses run several times a day according to the schedule and there are two companies that alternate. A ticket currently costs 420 lira, which is just over 200 crowns. We drove the two hours or so we were there and it was after lunchtime, cars never sleep in Turkey and Turkish drivers are crazy for me, especially in dolmus.
The bus will take you to the main station in Marmaris, which is on the edge of town, and you can get on with them depending on the destination you need. Içmeler normally costs 40-60 lira depending on whether you take normal public transport or dolmus. Dolmuses are like mini-buses and I recommend you sit down if you can. You pay at the driver, who will also refund you for the rides, payment in cash only.
Hope this helped someone and have a nice stay :)
Thanks for the actual experience!
