Transfer at Cork Airport
Cork uses 1 terminal common to all departures and arrivals.
Check-in desks and arrivals are on the ground floor, security check in on the 1st floor. The airport building is very modern, clean and uncluttered.
Cork is a medium to small airport in size, and the whole airport can be walked through in about 5 minutes.
The security check queues are mostly in the morning between 6:00 and 7:00, when they can be as long as 20-30 minutes.
Transfer between flights
Unlike Dublin or Shannon, Cork is not a typical connecting airport.
Therefore, it does not have direct transit facilities and if you connect between flights via Cork on your own, you will always have to leave the transit area, collect your luggage and check in again.
Cork is a small airport, so even transferring on your own won't take long - with possible queues for immigration and security checks of around 45 minutes.

Overnight in the terminal - opening hours
The public area of the airport concourse remains open 24/7 and airport security or police normally let passengers sleep inside the terminal.
However, comfortable benches are at a bare minimum in the public area, so if you want to spend the night at the airport, it is advisable to prepare a mattress and sleeping bag and lie on the floor.
Hotels near the airport
