Transportation from Cologne Airport

Cologne

Cologne Airport is very well connected to the railway network to the centre of Cologne and via long-distance trains to the whole of Germany.

There are also trains to the Bonn district of Beuel, but the centre of Bonn is more conveniently accessible by bus without changing trains.

The train and bus stations can be found together about a 3-minute walk from both terminals.

Transportation to Cologne

The fastest transport to the city is the city's S-Bahn and other regional trains. Buses serve the surrounding districts.

Trains

There are 3 lines to Köln-Hbf main station as well as Messe/Deutz and Hansaring stations. The most frequent line is the S19 (every 20 minutes), other lines run once an hour. Trains run to the airport 24 hours a day.

The journey to Köln-Hbf station takes 15 minutes.

  • RE6 - continues on to Köln-Geldernstr./Parkgürtel, Longerich and Dormagen

Buses

Local bus routes are useful for trips to the outskirts of Cologne. Ticket prices are the same as for trains.

Transport direction Bonn

The fastest bus line to the centre of Bonn is the SB60. The Bonn-Beuel district is also accessible by train on line RB27.

Transportation to the centre of Bonn is also possible with the S19 or RB27 trains with a change in Siegburg.

Buses

Direct connections to Bonn-Hbf main station are provided by bus line SB60.

The Bonn-Bonn railway station operates a bus service from the Bonn-Bonn railway station to the Bonn-Bonn railway station via the Bonn-Bonn railway station. 8,80 eur You can buy the bus from a vending machine at the bus stop or with a 3% discount on the KBV mobile app. You can use this ticket for any number of transfers on all lines in Bonn. The total journey time to Bonn-Beuel station is 20 minutes, while the transfer to Bonn city centre takes 47 minutes.
