Charlotte Douglas International Airport in a nutshell

Charlotte

While not near any major hubs, the airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, is one of the 15 busiest airports in the U.S. and a major hub for American Airlines.

The majority of flights are domestic, but there are also a relatively large number of flights from the Caribbean and Europe.

Charlotte's single terminal also makes it a very popular airport for transfers between the north and south of the US. Charlotte also tends to have shorter queues at immigration control, so it is also popular for transfers from Europe to the USA.
