Chania has a single, small, modern-looking terminal, which is very easy to find your way around. The distances to the aircraft are short; during the summer season, expect large crowds in a relatively small space.

Check-in for flights to and from the Schengen Area takes place in a shared hall. Passengers are separated only after passing through the joint security check; some gates are located beyond passport control, whilst others are not.

Both the departures and arrivals halls are on the ground floor.

The airport closes between the last and first arrivals; opening hours are usually from 4.00 am to midnight.
