The second largest airport in the Czech Republic is located in the Tuřany district of Brno and serves mainly charter and low-cost flights. It is about 10 km away from the centre of Brno.

While in the summer there is a lively air traffic with many tourist routes to the Mediterranean, the airport is orphaned in the winter, when only 1-2 Ryanair flights a day plus a few routes to warm countries like Egypt remain here.
