Bus 61 to the centre
The centre of Bratislava can be reached by a single bus line operated by the Bratislava Transport Company.
Tickets are the same for all bus, tram and trolleybus lines throughout the city. The airport is not located in any special fare zone.
You have the option to buy paper tickets at a machine inside the terminal (they also accept cards) or at the bus stop (they only accept coins).
A cheaper alternative is to buy tickets via the IDS BK mobile app (available on Google Play / App Store) after registration or directly with your own contactless card inside the bus.
The fares are as follows:
| Time validity | Paper ticket price | Price via mobile app Price when paying by card |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer for 30 minutes (sufficient for the main station) | 1,20 eur | 1,09 eur |
| Transfer for 60 minutes | 1,80 eur | 1,60 eur |
| 24 hours | 5,40 eur | 4,85 eur |

Cheapest with transfer
For a cheaper journey, where the regular Bratislava public transport fare applies, choose line 61, which will take you to the "Bajkalská" stop, where you will transfer to trolleybus 60 and go to the "Autobusová stanica" stop.
The journey will take about 40 minutes and you will pay 1 eur for a card payment inside the bus or 1,30 eur for a paper ticket or 1,18 eur in the mobile app.
A map of all Bratislava public transport lines can be downloaded here, for example.
Taxi / Bolt / Uber
The price of regular taxis to the city centre is between 10 eur and 15 eur.
Almost always the alternative taxi services Bolt or Uber are cheaper, which cost around 7 eur on the way to the main station.
Bus to Vienna
Thanks to its proximity to the Austrian capital, Bratislava Airport can also serve as an alternative for getting to Vienna.
Buses run directly from the terminal to the centre of Vienna without changing buses.
The Flixbus service runs approximately once an hour. The journey to Vienna takes about 105 minutes and costs from 10 eur.

The N61 runs every half hour until 00:30, then every hour thereafter.
The ticket prices in the table are no longer current. The price via the app is the same as the price when paying by card in the vehicle.
Thanks for the update!
Worse price and times, but maybe someone will find it useful. https://www.slovaklines.sk/sk/sl...islava-bts
The price is a good deal, but maybe someone will take advantage of it.
