Aqaba King Hussein International Airport in a nutshell

Wadi Rum

Aqaba Airport is located in the very south of Jordan near the borders with Saudi Arabia and Israel. It is currently the second largest airport in Jordan after Amman AMM Airport, but traffic is incomparably weaker compared to Amman.

Aqaba is served by Turkish Airlines from Istanbul, for example, as well as seasonal flights by low-cost airlines Wizz Air and easyJet.

Passengers use a single terminal common to all flights. The building is very small and can be walked through in 5 minutes.

What are the hotels in Aqaba?

Security checks here are thorough and it is recommended to arrive at the airport 2 to 2.5 hours before departure despite its small size.

Immigration check on arrival tends to be quick and queues are usually 20-30 minutes at most.
