The airport is connected to Ajaccio city centre by bus line 12. The terminal is also home to many car rental companies, which are the most practical form of transport around Corsica.
Car rental
The counters of many car rental companies can be found right in the arrivals hall.
Always book your car rental in advance. If you are travelling in high season (June-September), we recommend booking at least 2 months in advance.
Prices for weekly rentals start at around 250 eur in summer if booked well in advance.

City bus
There is a direct connection to the centre of Ajaccio by bus line 8. The bus goes through the historic centre to the main train station.
A special airport fare applies on the line and you cannot use the €4 all-day fare or the regular €1 city fare.

Train
The nearest train station to Ricantu is located 2,200 metres from the airport and is reached by a walkway along the beach, see map.

A total of 13 trains per day on weekdays and 3 trains on weekends run through Ricantu station on the Ajaccio-Mezana route at irregular intervals.
Long-distance trains also stop here on the Ajaccio - Mezana - Corte - Casamozza - Bastia route, 5 times a day on weekdays and 3 times on weekends.
Tickets can be purchased from the conductor inside the train and the prices are as follows:
- Ricantu - Ajaccio: 2 eur
- Ricantu - Corte: 11,50 eur
- Ricantu - Bastia: 21,60 eur
Taxi / Uber
Official taxis are always available in sufficient numbers at the airport. The prices are high and to Ajaccio city centre, 6,5 km away, you will pay around 25 eur.
There is also a mobile app in Ajaccio called Uber, which will offer a price to the centre between 16 eur and 20 eur. However, the availability of cars is not very good and early in the morning or late in the evening you can wait more than 20 minutes for a car.
