WestJet baggage

Baggage rules always vary depending on the fare you have purchased.

On the cheapest UltraBasic fares, only 1 small personal item is included!

Hand luggage

You can always take 1 personal item 41 x 33 x 14 cm on board.

On UltraBasic fares to Canada, USA and the Caribbean/Central America, no additional baggage is included, while on routes to Europe and Asia, even on this cheapest fare, 1 cabin bag 56 x 36 x 23 cm is free.

On routes to Canada, the USA and the Caribbean/Central America, a cabin bag 56cmx36cmx23cm is included in the price of the more expensive "Econo" or "EconoFlex" fares.

Cabin baggage cannot be added separately to an UltraBasic fare!

The weight of hand luggage is not directly specified by Westjet.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage up to 23 kg is only included in the price of the most expensive EconoFlex or Premium fares.

For all other fares, you must add baggage separately for fees ranging from 45 cad to 55 cad depending on the length of your itinerary.

Baggage for children

Infants up to 2 years of age can carry a small bag with baby items, a car seat and a stroller free of charge on the plane.
